I started my veterinary nurse training in 2006 and qualified in 2010.
I have had an exciting career so far, working in referral practice for 10 years, most recently working as an emergency and critical care nurse but I have been lucky enough to rotate through many disciplines over the years.
I am now ready to take all of this experience and use it to help people in the community, whether it be explaining what will happen if a patient needs to go to a big hospital and see a specialist or giving clients all of their options, helping them to make an informed decision about what treatment plan is right for them and their loved one.

I have a real passion for palliative and end of life care. It’s such a difficult time for owners, it is a privilege to be able to spend the time with clients, if needed and making the whole process as peaceful, comfortable and dignified as possible.
I also have a keen interest in pain management, particularly with our geriatric patients.

I live with my beautiful greyhound George who has come all the way from Australia, he is loving life in the cold and loving all the rabbit and squirrel smells.

Why I joined VetCare@Home? I am so proud to be part of this amazing team. I love the fact that we are able to offer a high standard of care within the home. It is so much less stressful for the owners and their beloved pets and we are able to really tailor the experience and treatment to each individual’s circumstance.
What was your first pet? A deerhound cross called Jed (also my first word!) and a legend of a cat called Tigger who had a habit of chasing dogs, including a German Shepherd out of the woods when he and I went for walks in the woods.
Guilty pleasure Staying in my pj’s all day and binging on TV and Movies
Best advice for pet owners Don’t be afraid or ashamed of the bond you have with your pet. They are our best friends, our babies, the only person we would really choose to live with forever, it’s a special relationship, we are lucky to have them and they should be treasured.

Competent & friendly vet, professional, competitively priced & convenient for myself. I can highly recommend, especially if you don’t have transport or your pet doesn’t like the usual veterinary setting. 5 star! ⭐️
